The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – The Story So Far

To complement the release of the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next Gen Update of CD PROJEKT RED’s latest The Witcher installment we had the chance to produce a story recap video to sum up the plot of the first two videogames – The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

The approach was to retell the story so far from the perspective of the horse Roach, Geralt’s trusty and a little sarcastic companion. Instead of using in-game sequences or cutscenes german community cosplayers showcase some of the plotpoints in this live action video.

The full video of the story recap was released on the official The Witcher YouTube channel on the day before the Next Gen Update dropped.

The German community asset

Another version of this asset was specifically for the german community account of CDPR Dach. The original voice actor of Roach from the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt quest gave his voice for Geralt’s companion once again for the german narration of the recap video.

Social Media Teaser

One social media teaser was cut together for the official CDPR Instagram account and the CDPR DACH regional account to point viewers towards the YouTube videos.
